Air conditioning in Qatar is not a comfort system — it is a critical system. HomeCare+ services, sanitises, diagnoses and repairs split, ducted and VRF air conditioning in villas, apartments, offices and retail units across Doha, using engineers who maintain the same equipment types on ArconFM's commercial contracts.
Compressor and capacitor faults, fan motor replacement, thermostat and control board diagnosis, refrigerant leak detection and repair, gas charging, drainage rectification, ductwork and insulation repair, and complete unit replacement where repair is no longer economic. Where replacement is the right answer we will say so — and show you the running-cost comparison rather than simply quoting a new unit.
Most residential AC failures in Qatar are not sudden. They are the visible end of months of restricted airflow, fouled coils and blocked drainage. Our engineers are trained to identify the underlying cause rather than restore cooling for a fortnight. That is the difference between a repair and a temporary fix — and it is why we issue a written report on every visit.
Any diagnostic charge is confirmed before an engineer is dispatched. Servicing is quoted per unit, with reduced rates for multiple units at the same address and for AMC holders.
The most common cause is a blocked condensate drain, which lets water back up and overflow from the indoor unit. A heavily fouled coil can also freeze and then drip as it thaws. Switch the unit off to prevent further damage and call us — leaks near ceilings and electrics should not be left running.
Usually one of four things: clogged filters or coils restricting airflow, low refrigerant caused by a leak, a failing compressor or capacitor, or an outdoor unit that cannot reject heat because it is blocked or dirty. Topping up refrigerant without finding the leak only restores cooling temporarily, so our engineers locate the cause first.
Quarterly, as a minimum — four services a year. Filters should be cleaned more often than that, every one to two months at least, because Qatar's dust load builds up quickly and restricted airflow is what causes most other faults. An annual maintenance contract sets the schedule for you.
It depends on the unit's age, condition, refrigerant type and the cost of the repair compared with the running cost of a new, more efficient unit. Older units using R22 refrigerant are becoming more expensive to recharge as the gas is phased out. We give you the comparison in writing and let you decide.
